In the said report it has been mentioned that the petitioner while filling up his form mentioned his category as "General" instead of SC/ST/OBC at the time of registration and though there was an option to edit the details before final submission, he failed to do so. It has further been mentioned that request for correction will be considered if and only if the petitioner submits his request duly verified by his Head Master and counter singed by the Nodal Officer along with SC category certificate to prove his category duly signed by the issuing authority.

The petitioner is granted liberty to submit his request for correction after duly verifying the same by his Head Master and counter signed by the Nodal Officer. On submission of the necessary documents from the petitioner NIOS authority shall take necessary steps for correction of the category of the petitioner. After correction

of the category of the petitioner he will be entitled to the consequential reliefs.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
