The report is enclosed with the statement and a communication made to the Inspector in charge of Barasat Women P.S. The contents of the same reflect that there has been an amicable settlement between the petitioners and the o.p. no.2.
The case arose out of matrimonial dispute and discord and the same has ultimately ended in a settlement between the parties.
Having regard to the changed circumstances and the genesis of the offence complained of, I am of the opinion that further continuation of the proceedings may not be in the interest of justice.
Accordingly, all further proceedings of Barasat Women P.S.
Case No.
21/22 dated 15.3.2022 (corresponding to GR Case No. 139 of 2022) pending before the ld. CJM, Barasat, is hereby quashed.
With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2774 of 2023 along with CRAN 1 of 2024 is Allowed.
Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
