This is an application under the Contempt of Court's Act, 1971 filed by the petitioner on 1st December 2001.

The petitioner by filing the instant application, sought for punishment of the contemnor / respondent for violation of order dated 22nd November 2000 passed by a learned Single Bench in W.P. 9 (W) of 1999. While this application was affirmed the petitioner, Pradipta Kumar Mazumdar was aged about 61 years. I find that none appeared on behalf of the petitioner to move the contempt application.

Considering all aspects of the matter, I feel that the petitioner is no longer interested to proceed with the contempt application on hand.

Therefore, the contempt application is dismissed for non-appearance of the petitioner.

Let this contempt application along with the order passed today be tagged with the main file by the concerned department.
