The writ application has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of the certificate proceedings arising out of Gratuity Case No.

104/15/DLC/HOW pending before the Certificate Officer, Howrah.

It appears from the materials on record that the Controlling Authority decided the matter of gratuity in favour of the writ petitioner on 12.07.2024 and the Certificate was issued on 09/12/2024.

4. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the

first warrant of arrest was issued on 3.12.2024 and the second warrant of arrest was issued by the Certificate Officer on 17.7.2025.

5. Considering the said facts and on hearing the parties, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the Certificate Officer, Howrah shall make all endeavour to dispose of the certificate proceedings within four months from the date of communication of this order.

Let a copy of this order be sent to the District Magistrate, Howrah to ensure that the proceedings are concluded as directed.
