Let a copy of this application be served upon Mr. Imran Ali and Ms. Manisha Sharma, learned advocates, who are present in Court today and who ordinarily appear on behalf of the State. Their engagement may be regularised in due course by the competent authority of the State.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners were the land owners who are arraigned as an accused in this case. Initially the petitioners were on bail. However, on certain dates, the petitioners could not be present. A prayer was made by the petitioners for adjournment on the ground of illness. However, the same was rejected. A date was fixed for delivery of judgment. Since the

petitioners were absent, warrant of arrest was issued against them. The dates on which the petitioners were absent fell within the period in which COVID-19 pandemic had been at its peak. Be that as it may, the petitioners want to join the proceeding at the earliest. Learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioners may be directed to surrender before the learned trial Court at the earliest.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioners and the State and have perused the revision petition. It appears that the petitioners want to join the proceeding at the earliest.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the petitioners are directed to surrender before the learned trial Court within a fortnight from this date. The warrant of arrest issued against the petitioners shall remain stayed for a period of three weeks from this date. In the event, the petitioners surrender before the learned trial Court within the stipulated time and pray for bail, their application for bail shall be considered in accordance with law.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
