Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that another accused has been granted bail on 20.11.2024 in CRM(NDPS) 1491 of 2024. However, the petitioner being on a better footing is unnecessarily languishing in jail. Prima facie, there was a finding when the petitioner approached this Court for anticipatory bail on 17.12.2024. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there has been recovery of 1400 bottles of phensedyl from the present petitioner. It has also been submitted on behalf of the State that there is CDR which reflects the petitioner's complicity in the present offence, although he is the owner of the vehicle. In view of the complicity of the present petitioner, I am of the view that at this stage it would not be proper to release

the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

However, the learned Trial Court is directed to take steps for expediting the progress of the trial. The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 981 of 2025, is, thus, disposed of.
