Petitioner has filed this writ petition being aggrieved on the part of the respondent authority concerned in considering its representation dated 14th March, 2023 being annexure P/6 to the writ petition for provisional release of the goods in question.

Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and submission of the parties this writ petition being WPA 17990 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent authority concerned to

consider and dispose of the aforesaid representation in accordance with law and by passing a reasoned and speaking order and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or its authorized representatives within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It is further ordered that the respondent customs authority concerned shall allow the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) to allow of the investigation of the goods in question at the cost of the petitioner and in presence of the petitioner's representatives and the officer concerned of the customs authority, within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order and the BIS authority will submit the report before the customs authority concerned within two weeks from the date of communication of this order.
