The Executive Engineer, Tamluk Highway Division, Public Works (Roads) Directorate has furnished a report in the form of instructions to the State Advocate dated 8th March, 2022. The same is kept with the record.

It appears from the report dated 8th March, 2022 that there is no unauthorized encroachment on Government land by the private respondents in front of the petitioners' Raiyat land.

The petitioner complains that certain dilapidated portion of his own premises required repairs and the private respondents are demanding extortion money to permit him to effect such repairs. Counsel for the private respondents denies such allegations.

In that view of the matter, the Officer-in-charge, Kolaghat Police Station shall ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the vicinity of the

petitioners' land and that he is able to effect repairs within his own property.

The disputes, if any, between the third parties may be agitated before the appropriate Civil Forum. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
