The petitioner prays for consideration of the representation filed before the Block Development Officer on July 12, 2023 seeking recounting.

Submission of the petitioner is that ballot papers which were not stamped by the Presiding Officer were illegally counted.

The petitioner relies upon the guidelines published by the Secretary, West Bengal State Election Commission on July 12, 2023.

The prayer of the petitioner cannot be accepted by the Court as considerable period of time has elapsed after the result of the election was declared on July 11, 2023. The petitioner ought to have made application prior to declaration of final result of the election. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant writ petition.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.
