Mr. Saibal Bapuli Ms. Snigdha Saha ... For the State Supplementary affidavit filed by the petitioner is taken on record.

The petitioner is in custody for more than a year and prays for bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record.

The victim lady has implicated the petitioner in her statement under Section 183 of the BNSS and before the doctor as well as in her evidence before the learned trial Court. The investigation is in progress. 2 out of 16 witnesses have been examined.

Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

Learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

The application for bail is disposed of.
