The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that no steps have been taken by the Gopalnagar Police Station in respect of a complaint lodged against the private respondents.
Admittedly the petitioner's son is living with the wife of the private respondent No.6. It is submitted that the private respondents, in anger, have ransacked the petitioner's house and have also burnt down the books and personal effects of the family members.
The complaint in this regard has been lodged with the Gopalnagar Police Station, which the petitioner claims has not been attended to.
Counsel for the State submits that the petitioner's complaint is being investigated and Gopalnagar Police Station NCR No.975/21 dated 4th December 2021 under Sections 323/427/506 of the IPC has been filed.
It also submits that proceedings under Section 107 of the CrPC have been taken out.
The Gopalnagar Police Station shall register formal FIR and complete investigation into the matter as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.
The petitioner and her family members shall be escorted back to their house by the Officer-in-Charge, Gopalnagar Police Station. The latter shall also be ensure that they shall live peacefully thereat.
Gopalnagar Police Station shall immediately attend to any complaint from the petitioner as regards any threat to their life and person.
With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
