Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioner claims for releasing the death benefit which accrued in favour of his son who was a policy holder of the Life Insurance Corporation of India. The claim of the petitioner stood rejected. 3.

The order of rejection passed by the Senior Divisional Manager and the Manager Claims (DM) indicates that if the claimant is in disagreement with the decision of the authority, he may sent his representation along with all supporting documents to the Zonal Manager for review of the claim.

The petitioner's representation made through his legal representative in June 2023 is pending consideration at the end of the Zonal Manager of the Corporation.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Zonal Manager being the respondent no. 2 herein to consider the legal

representation filed on behalf of the petitioner in accordance with the relevant rules and circulars and dispose of the same positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

An opportunity of hearing shall be granted to the petitioner prior to final disposal of the representation.

7.

If the prayer of the petitioner is accepted, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken forthwith.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
