The writ petition flows from the information supplied under the Right to Information Act, 2005. The petitioner sought answer to certain queries relating to the scheme of amalgamation between IDBI Bank Limited and IDBI Limited.

In reply to the application made under the Act, the petitioner was requested to obtain a copy of the scheme of amalgamation. The petitioner has paid the necessary charges and has since been supplied with the scheme of amalgamation.

The petitioner submits that the specific query was with regard to the provision for amalgamation in the scheme and not the scheme itself. It has been

submitted that in the entire scheme there is no provision mentioned for promotion.

None represents the respondents.

Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The Court is of the opinion that it is for the party concerned to find out the exact provision of promotion from the scheme of amalgamation. The entire scheme has been forwarded to the petitioner. If the petitioner fails to find out the exact provision for promotion in the scheme, it is open for the petitioner to take appropriate steps.

Immediately upon forwarding the information, action under the Right to Information Act appears to have been complied with.

In view of the above, no further relief can be granted to the writ petitioner.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
