The report as filed in Court today is taken on record. 2.

The petitioner has filed the present writ application praying for a direction upon the respondents to provide new meter connection in the premises of the petitioner. 3.

This Court has called for the report from the CESC Limited and accordingly, the Senior Engineer, South West District, CESC Limited submitted the report wherein it reveals that the petitioner has a separate house in a plot jointly shared with his brothers and sisters. The CESC Limited provided four meters in favour of the family members of the petitioner. Earlier, the petitioner used to get supply from his own meter being Consumer No.

09150255007 which was disconnected on January 17, 2001 for non-payment of outstanding dues.

Now the authorities submit that the petitioner had a loop meter supply. Accordingly, the respondents are ready and willing to provide a loop meter in favour of the petitioner subject to payment of necessary charges and compliances.

The petitioner submits that he will comply with all the provisions and pay necessary charges to the CESC Limited for grant of electric connection.

In view of the above, the respondent no. 2 is directed to provide the new electric loop meter from the existing common meter board in the premises of the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of compliance of all formalities by the petitioner. 7.

Accordingly, WPA 17957 of 2025 is disposed of. 8.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all the necessary formalities.
