Affidavit-of-service and acknowledgement for payment of deficit Court fees filed on behalf of the petitioners be kept with the record.

The petitioners are the Assistant Teachers in different schools under Uttar Dinajpur District Primary School Council.

The petitioners had B.Ed. as their training qualification before joining the service. The petitioners are complaining that they are not getting A-Category Scale of Pay for not having six months Bridge Course from a recognized institution.

Mr. Maji, learned advocate for the petitioners submits that similarly placed teachers have been given the benefit of 'A' Category Scale of Pay in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Division Bench passed in MAT 1038

of 2024 (Waliur Rahaman & Ors. Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors.) on July 30, 2024; copy of which has been annexed at page 45 of the writ petition.

He prays that the issue may be relegated to the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 3 herein, for consideration.

The respondent no. 3 is directed to consider the prayer of the petitioners for 'A' Category Scale of Pay in accordance with law and to facilitate such consideration; the petitioners are directed to supply the complete copy of the writ petition to the respondent no. 3. The respondent no.3 shall make all endeavour to complete his exercise in this regard as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

W.P.A. 17946 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
