Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Md. Anwar Hossain, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

The present case was registered with Rabindra Sarobar Police Station Case No. 180 of 2021 dated 31.10.2021 under Sections 302/307 of the Indian Penal Code. On conclusion of investigation, charge-sheet was submitted before the jurisdictional court. Charge has subsequently been framed and it has been reported that out of 46 witnesses, so relied upon by the prosecution in the charge-sheet, only 3 witnesses have been examined till date.

The petitioner is the complainant and as such, is anxious regarding the outcome of the case. Having considered the factum that the case is of October 2021, I direct the learned trial court to fix schedule consisting of four dates and try to fix the schedule in such a manner that at least 50% of the witnesses, so relied upon by the prosecution, be completed by 31.01.2024. The learned trial court thereafter

on the basis of further list of witnesses furnished by the prosecution will fix the schedule and take the trial to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2792 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
