The deed of transfer of lease hold interest in respect of a plot of land in the Kalyani Township cannot be registered for want of Overseas Citizenship of India card of two of the transferors.

According to the State respondents, the persons who are not residing within the country is required to submit the Overseas Citizenship of India card or have to come over physically for the purpose of execution and registration of the subject deed. 3.

The Estate Manager, Kalyani by a communication dated 30th September, 2020 has already intimated the parties the requirement for the purpose of execution and registration of the transfer deed. 4.

The parties are directed to act accordingly.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
