Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Tanmay Kumar Ghosh, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appearance may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

The anxiety expressed by the petitioner is that the present case was initiated in the year 2018 under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4/8 of the POCSO Act, 2012. According to the learned advocate, more than five years have passed, but out of 13 witnesses only 4 witnesses till date have been examined.

Having regard to the plight expressed by the present petitioner, I am of the view that the anxiety so expressed is justified. The learned trial court is directed to take steps so that the rest of the witnesses are examined and the evidence be completed by 31st July, 2024.

With aforesaid observations, CRR 2794 of 2023 is

disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
