In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceedings to continue shall only be a futile exercise.

CRR No. 3094 of 2024 is allowed.

G.R.Case No. 958 of 2023 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gangarampur at Buniadpur is quashed.

The petitioners be set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bonds.

The connected application being CRAN No. 1 of 2024 is also disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
