The petitioners contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023. They allege massive rigging, vandalism and violence at the time of poll.

It appears that complaint was lodged before the authority on 24th July, 2023. The election was conducted on 8th July, 2023 and the result of the election was declared on 11th July, 2023. Application filed by the petitioner on 24th July, 2023 seeking repoll, cannot be allowed. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant case.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
