24.09.2025 Court No.28 Item No.22 ssi CRM (A) 2839 of 2025 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Suraksha Nagarik Sanhita in connection with Belur Police Station Case No.204 of 2023 dated 13.10.2023 under Sections 420/406 of the Indian Penal Code.

And In the matter of: Arjun Pahan ....Applicant/Petitioner Mr. Soumyajit Das Mahapatra Mr. Anirban Banerjee ...for the petitioner Ms. Trisha Rakshit ..for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was a victim of calls spoofing. It is alleged that OTP was given by the victim and Rs. 2 lakhs was siphoned off from his account.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the amount went to the account of the present petitioner.

Considering the serious nature of allegations and the incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
