Mr. Tarunkanti Halder ... ... for the Petitioners Mr. Debjit Mukherjee Ms. Priyanka Jana ... ...for the State Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner alleges that the private respondents are blocking the pathway, used by the family of the petitioners continuously and without interruption for more than 40 years and even after a complaint is made alleging the same before the Officer-in-Charge, Mandir Bazar Police Station, no action has been taken by the police authorities so far.

Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that on 3rd March, 2024 the petitioner no.1 has lodged a complaint which had been diarized as G.D. NO.170 at Mandir Bazar Police Station and on the basis of such complaint all possible steps have been taken by the State respondents.

Learned counsel appearing for the State files report. Let the report be kept with the record. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the report filed by the Police authorities and the writ petition along with annexures.

As the police authorities have already initiated steps to keep a strong vigil over the matter and maintain peace and tranquility at the locale, it is directed that the safety and security of the petitioner and his family members should also be looked into by the police authorities.

With the above directions the writ petition being WPA 18867 of 2024 is disposed of.

No order as to costs.
