Petitioner prays for bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for one year six months. The police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required. He submits that there is no eyewitness to the incident implicating the petitioner.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the son of the victim aged 30 years where, the son states that the deceased before of his death told him that the petitioner assaulted the deceased.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to enlarge any of the petitioners on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. C.R.M. 7955 of 2021 is dismissed.
