Records of the writ petition reflect that the petitioner submitted a representation on 12.05.2024 with the Officer-in-Charge, Girish Park Police Station. The main grievance of the petitioner was relating to padlock being affixed at the tenancy room. Prima facie, the same reflects landlord-tenant dispute.

State has submitted a report which reflects that Title Suit No.3444 of 2007 is pending before the learned Judge, Bench-XII, City Civil Court, Calcutta.

Having considered that civil court is already in seisin of the issue, police authorities have hardly any scope to interfere.

Learned advocate for the private respondent nos. 6 to 8 is present.

Having considered the nature of the dispute and the fact that civil court is in seisin of the issue, there is hardly any scope for the police authorities to involve themselves except when there is violation

of law and order. As such, further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA 19182 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
