The allegation of the petitioner against the Officer-in-Charge, Santragachi Police Station, has been found to be incorrect. On the basis of the complaint filed by the petitioner, Santragachi Police Station Case No. 128/2021 dated October 15, 2021, under Sections 341/427/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 24 of the Maintenance & Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizens Act 2007 had been started. The investigation was completed and a charge-sheet had been filed vide Santragachi Police Station Charge-Sheet No. 137/2021 dated October 31, 2021, under Sections 341/427/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 24 of the Maintenance & Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizens Act 2007 against both the FIR named accused persons.

However, the police authority shall maintain peace in the locality and prevent any untoward incident.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
