Mukherjee, Ld. PP Md. Anwar Hossain Mr. Pratick Bose ....for the State The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that charge has already been framed in the instant case. However, there is no progress of the trial in spite of the fact that the petitioner is in custody for 600 days.

Having regard to the anxiety of the petitioner, I have directed him to serve upon Mr. Hossain, learned advocate for the State who usually appears for the State. His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Having regard to the period of detention of the present petitioner, I direct the learned Special Court would fix schedule at least once in a month of three days and take the trial to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. The learned Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State before the learned trial Court, would assure the trial court regarding the availability of the witnesses prior to the schedule being fixed by the learned trial court. No parties should be allowed to pray for unnecessary adjournments and the learned

Special Court would adjourn the matter only in exceptional circumstances.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2406 of 2021 is disposed of.
