Mondal ... for the State The submission of the petitioner is that on the stipulated reporting date she could not report for scrutiny/verification and interview/aptitude test allegedly on the ground that she missed the mail intimating the date of the said scrutiny/verification and interview/aptitude test. The dates stipulated for reporting was 11th January, 2021.

The petitioner on 18th January, 2021 made a representation before the West Bengal Board of Primary Education praying for giving her another chance to appear in the scrutiny/verification and interview/aptitude test.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered by the Board.

I am afraid that the submission of the petitioner cannot be accepted by the court.

When a specific date was fixed and intimated to the petitioner for scrutiny/verification and interview/aptitude test the candidate ought to have been vigilant and should have reported on the date fixed for the same. The reason given for not reporting on the scheduled date is mere lame excuse. There is no scope for giving any further opportunity to the petitioner to appear for the same at such a delayed date.

In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant case.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
