Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners completed a work assigned to the petitioners by the respondents/Distribution Licensee. However, subsequently at the time of disbursal of the bill amount of the petitioners, an amount to the tune of Rs.8,47,430.62 was deducted without furnishing any reason. The petitioners wrote several representations.

However, those were not replied to by the respondent-authorities. The petitioners seek an adjudication on the said representations upon giving the petitioners an opportunity of hearing. 3.

Accordingly, WPA No. 18128 of 2023 is allowed, thereby directing the respondent-authorities to give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners

on the representations given by the petitioners to the respondents in the above regard and upon hearing the petitioners, to decide on the said representations in accordance with law and in terms of the contract between the parties at the earliest, positively within November 17, 2023. 4.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
