Despite service, none appears on behalf of the respondents. Affidavit-of-service is taken on record. The petitioner alleges that his tenant, who was a licensee, failed to renew the licence and has not been paying the rent. Further allegation is that some miscreants at times visit the premises.

The Officer-in-Charge, Baguiati Police Station is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner made through his learned Advocate dated November 21, 2020, strictly in accordance with law and arrive at a decision after giving a hearing to the petitioner and the respondent No.4 within a period of two months, from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that the allegations of the petitioner are not dealt with by this Court. The police authorities shall form an

independent opinion on the basis of such representation. The dispute between the landlord and tenant shall not be gone into by the police authorities.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
