Heard learned counsels for the parties.

It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner was granted licence for carrying on fertilizer business by the concerned authority which was valid up to 31st March, 2018. The petitioner applied for renewal of the licence before the authority on 31st October, 2018 which was turned down by the authority by a letter issued on 4th December, 2018 on the ground that such application for renewal was made after the stipulated period of time. The petitioner submitted a further representation before the concerned authority on 14th August, 2019 for renewal of his licence, which is yet to be considered. The petitioner prays for a direction upon the concerned authority to consider the representation at the earliest. It is submitted on behalf of the respondents that the 2nd respondent be directed to consider the representation in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted on behalf of the petitioner dated 14th August, 2019 within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested persons including the petitioner, in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereafter. With the above observations and directions this writ petition being WPA 17111 of 2019 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
