akb respondent no. 2 in the year 2011 for a period of five years. The fellowship has been extended from time to time and petitioner is continuing with her fellowship under the said respondent. The petitioner, however, applied for the post of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the said Institute following an advertisement published on August 26, 2021. It is the grievance of the petitioner that till date the recruitment process has not been completed by respondent no. 2.

The petitioner being an applicant for the posts in question neither has any vested right to be appointed nor she can compel the respondents to complete the selection process.

In the affidavit-in-opposition filed by respondent nos. 2 and 3, however, it has been stated that the case of the petitioner is under active consideration for short-listing along with other candidates.

In view of the stand disclosed by respondent nos. 2 and 3, nothing remains to be decided in the writ petition. It is, however, desirable that the concerned respondent nos. 2 and 3 shall complete the short-listing process as

expeditiously as possible.

With the aforesaid observations, W.P.A. 18537 of 2022 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the petitioner upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
