Perused the case diary.

It appears from the statement of a neighbour that few days ago the petitioner and his wife had demolished a toilet constructed by the other side. This led to an altercation after a couple of days. The petitioner allegedly assaulted the victim on his head with a "Katari Baat".

Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary including the statements of injured and a neighbour as well as the injury report showing inflicting of injury at a vital part of the body like scalp, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
