None appears for the petitioner at the time of call. 2.

Learned counsel appearing for the alleged contemnor files an affidavit-in-opposition to the contempt application wherein it has been stated that in compliance of the order of this court, a hearing was given by the alleged contemnor.

Copies of the minutes thereof are also annexed to the affidavit.

Learned counsel further submits that subsequently, the compensation amount has also been credited to the account of the petitioner. 5.

Papers in that regard, including a photocopy of a printout of the relevant Bank statement, are also handed over in court today and are kept on record. 6.

As such, it transpires that the order of this court has been complied with.

Since the delay in complying with the same has been sufficiently explained by learned counsel for the alleged contemnor, this court is of the opinion that the extreme step of penalizing the contemnor ought not to be taken, since in any event, the act of contempt, if any, committed by the delay in complying with the order of this court has been sufficiently purged in the meantime.

Accordingly, CPAN 1212 of 2024 is disposed of as infructuous.
