Mr. S.P. Lahiri, Ms. F. Ahmed ....for the petitioners Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, Mr. Pannalal Bandopadhyay ....for the State Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioners are aggrieved by regular stone-pelting and threats being issued by the private respondents. The parties are a father and son. An FIR has been registered and charge sheet being Berhampore Police Station Charge Sheet No. 216 of 2021 dated February 28, 2021 under Sections 498A/447/427/506/34 of the IPC has been filed in respect of the complaint of the petitioners against the private respondents.

Another FIR has also resulted in Berhampore Police Station Charge Sheet No. 1068 of 2021 dated 14.12.2021 under Sections 448/325/326/354/506 and Section 34 of the IPC. It is expected that the charge sheets are put in committal as expeditiously as possible. Since

the petitioners submit that their house has been pelted with stones at the instance of the private respondents, the Berhampore Police Station shall post a police constable for a period of one month thereat. The cost of posting of such constable shall be borne by the petitioners.

The Berhampore Police Station shall continue to maintain strict vigil over the area and ensure that there is no breach of peace.

The instructions of the Berhampore Police Station dated March 27, 2021 addressed to the State Advocate may be kept with the record.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
