The petitioners contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023.

They have already approached the competent forum by filing election petition.

In the instant writ petition, the petitioners pray for preservation of the ballot papers and the video footages on the day of the poll and the day of counting. There is already an order passed by the Hon'ble Division Bench in WPA (P) 301 of 2023 for preservation of the ballot papers and the video footages.

In view of the above, no further order is required to be passed in the instant writ petition.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

The competent court will be at liberty to decide the election petition on merits without being influenced by any observation made hereinabove.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
