Mr. Avinash Kankani, learned counsel, who normally represents the Union, requested to represent it in these matters.

The only question that remains for decision, is the disqualification of the petitioner's Director's Identification Number

(DIN) for violation of the mandate under Section 164 of the Companies Act, 2013. It is now wellsettled that the DIN, cannot be disqualified for the aforesaid violation.

It is submitted that the petitioner is not a Director on any other company.

In that view of the matter, the disqualification of the petitioner's Din, shall stand set aside. The Registrar of Companies, West Bengal, shall restore the DIN of the writ petitioner.

With the aforesaid observations, all the writ petitions shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
