Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner produces a photocopy of the OPD ticket of the petitioner issued by the SSKM Hospital on 12th August, 2025.

Referring to the said ticket it has been submitted that the petitioner was counseled about the outcome of the termination of pregnancy if attempted at this stage and the procedure for termination which will resemble a mini labour.

Prayer has been made to get the petitioner cross-checked by a separate Medical Board.

The Court has perused the report and the unanimous decision of the Medical Board of the hospital consisting of eleven doctors recommending against termination of pregnancy at such advanced stage (24-25 weeks).

The Court is not at all convinced to accept the prayer of the petitioner for permitting her to be cross-checked by any separate Medical Board.

The prayer of the petitioner for termination of pregnancy cannot be allowed.

In view of the above, the writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

8. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.

9. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
