The petitioner contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023. He alleges massive rigging, vandalism and violence at the time of poll.

It appears that complaint was lodged before the authority on 13th July, 2023. The election was conducted on 8th July, 2023 and the result of the election was declared on 11th July, 2023. Application filed by the petitioner at such a delayed date seeking repoll, cannot be allowed. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant case.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. It will be open for the petitioner to take appropriate steps before the competent forum for redressal of his grievances, if permissible in law. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
