Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record including evidence of the minor victim and her parents. They support the allegation of penetrative sexual assault.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected at this stage.

We direct the trial court to conclude the trial at an early date preferably within six months from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
