The petitioner claims water connection at 19, Buxrah 1st Bye Lane under the Howrah Municipal Corporation.

The petitioner made several applications seeking water connection and alleges that none has been considered till date.

On a perusal of the applications made by the petitioner it appears that none of the applications was either forwarded or addressed to the Commissioner of the Corporation.

According to law, the Commissioner is the appropriate authority to take a decision in the matter. In view of the above, leave is granted to the petitioner to make appropriate application before the Commissioner of the Corporation seeking water

connection. In the event such an application is made, the same shall be considered in accordance with law. The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
