The grievance of the petitioner is non-payment of gratuity. The petitioner retired from the service under fourth respondent on 1st January, 2011 but has not been paid his gratuity by the employer till date. It is submitted on behalf of both the parties that the parties have arrived at a verbal settlement in this regard.

By consent of the parties it is held that the entire gratuity amount along with five per cent compound interest per annum thereon shall be paid to the petitioner by the fourth respondent in five equal installments, first installment commencing from 22nd March, 2022 and the subsequent installments being payable on the 22nd day of each succeeding month. In view of the above, WPA 19313 of 2021 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavits are invited, the allegations contained in this writ petition are deemed not to be admitted.
