The petitioner seeks a separate electricity connection in respect of the ground floor of premises at 77, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Road, Howrah - 711101.

Respondent no. 4 is represented. It is submitted on her behalf that she has no objection to the grant of an electricity connection in favour of the petitioner. Respondent no. 3 is not represented. The petitioner claims to be a tenant under Khagendranath Roy (since deceased). Respondent nos. 3 and 4 appear to be his son and daughter-inlaw respectively. Learned advocate appearing for CESC submits that if the petitioner applies for a separate meter in the said property, CESC has no objection to providing such connection.

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to make an online application before CESC for a new connection through a separate meter. Upon such application being made, CESC shall provide the connection within a period of four weeks from date, subject to due compliance with all formalities.

Accordingly, WPA 18115 of 2025 stands disposed of.
