Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners filed complaint on 7th July, 2024, but till date no steps have been taken by the respondent no.9, being the Officer-in-Charge, Raidighi Police Station, District - South 24-Parganas. Learned counsel appearing for the private respondents submits that this is purely a civil dispute and the writ petition should be dismissed.

Learned counsel appearing for the State files a report and submits that on receiving the complaint and after conducting due enquiry, ASI Subrata Samanta submitted a prosecution report vide Raidighi Police Station NCR No.463/2024 dated 07.07.2024 under Section 126 of BNSS, 2023 against the private respondents and a show cause notice has already been

issued to the private respondents and police is keeping the strict vigil at the locale.

Report filed by the State is taken on record. Heard learned counsels for the parties.

As the State authorities have already initiated steps on the basis of the complaint filed by the petitioners on 7th July, 2024, Officer-in-Charge, Raidighi Police Station, District-South 24-Parganas/respondent no.9 is directed to take necessary steps in accordance with law with regard to the complaint filed by the petitioners and shall keep a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place in the locality.

With the above directions, the writ petition being WPA 19003 of 2024 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
