The State of West Bengal and others Mr. Pankaj Halder Mr. Tapas Manna ... for the petitioner Mr. Pinaki Dhole Mr. Pinaki Bhattacharyya ... for the State The petitioner is granted liberty to approach the Executive Officer, South 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad, for information as to whether any approval was ever sought for from the panchayat department in respect of the proposal of the gram panchayat to engage the petitioner as a homoeopathy compounder in a dispensary situated within the local limits of the gram panchayat. Admittedly, the dispensary had not been approved by the proper authority and was not within the official jurisdiction of the gram panchayat. Such intimation shall reach the petitioner within two months from the date of receipt of the petitioner's query.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of server copy of this order.
