Mr. Avik Ghatak Ms. Afreen Begam ..for the petitioner The revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of an application under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure pending before the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate, Bidhannagar, 24 Parganas North. I find that the application was preferred on 11th December, 2020 and till date because of diverse reasons, the petitioner has not been able to get any benefit under the said provisions before the learned Magistrate. More than one year has passed since application has been filed and it has been submitted that no interim maintenance till date has been awarded in favour of the present petitioner.

Having regard to the contentions so advanced and the period of pendency of the application before the learned Judicial Magistrate, I direct that the efforts should be taken so that the prayer for interim maintenance be considered and disposed of by 15th February, 2022.

The learned Magistrate thereafter would proceed to the main proceedings and after recording the evidence would try to conclude the trial of the case by 15th February, 2023. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2429 of 2021 is disposed of.
