Admittedly the principal amount of gratuity with the simple interest to the tune of Rs 3, 32,407/-, has been handed over to the petitioner by the employer. The Court finds it in the order dated April 23, 2024 which has been substantially complied with.

However, it appears that the compound interest as per law has not yet been calculated by the said office and no process as to the recovery thereof has yet been initiated.

Be directed that the Certificate Officer shall calculate the compound interest amount of the gratuity of the petitioner and proceed for recovery payment thereof for the petitioner with compound interest amount of the gratuity as per law, within a period of three months from the date of this order.

The contempt application being CPAN 1223 of 2024 is hereby dropped.
