Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner filed a complaint before the Officer-in-Charge, Bansdroni Police Station, respondent no.2 in this application, on 3rd June, 2024 against Joseph Raj Swamy and Valaikanni Swamy, who are the elder son and elder daughter-in-law of the petitioner and residing in the same premises with the petitioner. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner is a senior citizen and respondent nos.3 and 4 are inflicting serious mental and physical torture since 2022 to grab the house property from the petitioner and prays for a direction upon the State for protection of a senior citizen from his son and daughter-in-law.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent nos.3 and 4 submits that they have not done anything

but at the behest of the younger son of the petitioner this complaint has been made by the petitioner.

Perused the application, more specifically the complaint filed by a senior citizen. It is the duty of the State to protect a senior citizen from being abused by a son and daughter-in-law and if complaint in such effect has been made by the petitioner on 3rd June, 2024 it has to be looked into by the police with utmost sincerity. The police shall keep strict vigil over the property and ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner, his younger son and younger daughter-in-law.

With the above directions, the writ petition being WPA 19026 of 2024 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
