Petitioner submits he is the brother-in-law of the victim lady. Investigation is complete. Co-accused-husband is on bail. He prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He submits victim lady was tortured at the matrimonial home and committed suicide within three months of marriage. 3.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is the brother-in-law of the victim lady. He resided at the matrimonial home. There are allegations of torture meted out by petitioner and other-inlaws on the victim. Victim committed suicide within three months of marriage.

In view of the gravity of offence, we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.
