The writ petition has been filed with certain allegations against the Inspector-in-Charge, Manikchak Police Station.

According to the petitioner, although complaints were lodged with the police authorities, no steps had been taken.

Learned advocate for the State submits that the allegations against the police authorities do not survive, in view of the fact that an investigation was started on the basis of the complaint of the petitioner vide Manikchak Police Station Case No. 507/2021 dated December 12, 2021, under Sections 448/354/323/379/506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. It is further submitted that the police authorities proceeded with the investigation, visited the place of occurrence, continued with the search and seizure and recovered the motor cycle. One of the accused persons, namely the respondent no. 5,

was also arrested.

The other persons were absconding.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the police authorities to conclude the investigation in accordance with law and take all necessary steps, if not already completed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
