Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authorities in due course. The present proceedings relate to Jagacha Police Station Case No. 115 of 2000 dated 20.11.2000.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner/ complainant, submits that dates for evidence are being fixed and the accused persons by way of evading the process of law have been successful in delaying almost 23 years.

In view of the manner in which the proceedings are progressing, I direct that the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Jagacha Police Station will act as Nodal Officer of this case. The said Officer would in case a warrant of arrest is pending against any accused person compel the appearance of the said accused before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 4th Court, Howrah. The said Nodal Officer on the dates so fixed would also ensure

regarding the witnesses being present.

The learned Judicial Magistrate, 4th court, Howrah will not grant any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. It is further directed that the learned trial court henceforth would fix at least two dates in a week so that the trial can be concluded within a period of one year preferably by 31st August, 2024. The Public Prosecutor appearing in the case would produce the materials, documents and exhibits on the dates fixed for examination of the witnesses concerned. All efforts be taken by the stake-holders to cooperate with the trial court so that the trial is concluded at the earliest possible time.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 2849 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.
